Engineer for Our Production Team in Uppsala

About the Position

We are now looking for a Production Engineer for an exciting and developing assignment with one of QRIOS Life Sciences partners in Uppsala. This is the initial assignment as a consultant with QRIOS, where you will become an important part of an organization with a strong focus on quality, clear customer orientation, and a strong drive for improvement.

The assignment is located within column production, which belongs to the Lab & Final Products department, responsible for manufacturing, quality testing, and release of chromatographic columns at lab scale, as well as kits, spare parts, and empty columns. As a consultant with QRIOS, you will have the opportunity to develop in the assignment while building long-term competence for future assignments within Life Science.

QRIOS operates throughout the Mälardalen region (from Södertälje to Uppsala), Gothenburg, and Skåne. We always take into account where you as a consultant want to work, and assignments are usually geographically concentrated – there is no expectation of commuting across Sweden.

Your Main Responsibilities

In the role of production engineer, you will provide daily technical and quality support to production. The work is varied and offers great opportunities to influence daily operations.

• Deviation handling and investigations
• Drive Change Control cases
• Troubleshooting process equipment
• Collaboration with the maintenance department and external contractors
• Support in complaint cases and drive related investigations
• Collaboration with R&D in new product and product care projects
• Drive improvement work within production and EHS
• Update production documentation
• Perform and document risk analyses

The section is responsible for both manufacturing, QC testing, and release, which makes the role particularly broad and developing.

Who Are You?

You are an engineer or have an equivalent technical educational background in fields such as biotechnology, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering. You preferably have previous experience from manufacturing operations within biotechnology or Life Science.

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience in process and product development
• Previous experience in column packing is an advantage but not a requirement
• Good proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of Unicorn, Oracle, Magic, and Veeva is advantageous
